Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Witney, various footpaths
Date of Order: 19 August 2024
Coming into force: 7 September 2024
This Order is being introduced because of construction work related to Shores Green/A40 interchange which is anticipated to be completed 30 September 2026.
The effect of the Order is to close temporarily sections of the footpath number/s 353/31/10, 353/28/10, 410/41/30 and 410/42/40 Southeast of High Cogges.
Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath.
The alternative route will be signed via local signed diversion route.
Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
The order will initially remain on force for 6 months, and with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport can be extended until September 2026 or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
